The Bi-Annual Herington Railroad Days will take place Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 9 a.m., and Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.. The location is the Herington Community Building at 810 S. Broadway, Herington, KS 67449. This event will include a model train and railroadiana swap meet, clinics/workshops, model railroad layouts from area clubs, concessions, and free and easy parking. The neighboring Herington Historical Society & Railroad Annex will be open that day. It includes many artifacts from the Rock Island, Missouri Pacific, Southern Pacific, and Union Pacific preserved by active and retired employees in this historic railroad terminal city.
