Hi, attached are two photos for the NMRA website, if you deem it acceptable. thanks.
This is "Miller Time" on the marine division of the Chesapeake Bay & Northern Railroad. I have grown to love model railroading in its association with marine operations. For my home railroad, the Chesapeake Bay & Northern I have taken the liberty to focus on the marine division and its operations. The crane in the picture will soon be "on a repair assignment" for the pillings adjacent to a scratch build car float apron. In the picture I created a crane barge based on several prototypes.
It was rather simple to do and with added marine details available from Crow River, I was quite pleased. The crane itself is kitbashed from the Walther's 25 ton rail crane. The water is done in a similar manner to Ken Patterson's work, foam board, texture paint, color paint, high gloss and some fun lighting.
