The NMRA Interchange
The NMRA Interchange is a new place to ask questions, provide answers, post events, share ideas and make friends. It is implemented as a Discord server and contains categories for welcoming members, a help area, the NMRA worldwide community, the NMRA Board of Directors, each of the Departments, the Achievement Program, Special Interest Groups, the basics (of modeling), the prototype (railroads), general interest groups and then each of the 17 regions. Discord also provides, free of charge, the ability to have online meetings with up to 100 people in a "room", sharing screens and up to 25 people showing their camera feeds.
The NMRA Magazine
The main monthly publication of the NMRA is call the NMRA Magazine, available to most members in print for an extra fee. The same document is also available to most members as the NMRA Digital Magazine as hosted by Zinio for reading on more devices.
NMRA Partnership Program
The NMRA Partnership Program is a member benefit that truly has a tangible payback. We've partnered with model railroad manufacturers of all sizes, giving them exposure on our website in return for receiving generous discounts for NMRA members all year long. Some provide members with special codes, others prefer a phone or email order, but all appreciate the additional business from our members. And of course, our members appreciate the extra savings...savings that can actually pay the cost of NMRA membership!
Member Discount Program
The Member Discount Program includes those attractions that have offered discounts to NMRA members. Be aware that you may be asked to prove that you are a member when claiming the discount so be sure to have your non-expired NMRA membership card with you.
Model Railroad Directory
The Model Railroad Directory allows a member to provide some information and photos of a layout. The location is also roughly shown on a map, which can be used to find layouts within a range from a location.
Pike Registry
The Pike Register provides the opportunity to have your pike registered in the Official Register of Model Railroads, (ORMRR). You will receive an official certificate suitable for framing and get your Pike added to the Registry shown online.
Division Matching Funds
The NMRA provides funds to Divisions to help with epxenses while teaching modeling.
Member Video Library
NMRA videos are available to all members for watching at home.
