The flagstop for Glen Oaks was a quick and simple scratchbuilding project based on plans from the April 1979 issue of Railroad Model Craftsman. The freight shelter on the right was freelanced, as well as the wooden platform. The shingles were cut with scalloped scissors, and the "slots" between each shingle were then cut individually with back-to-back X-acto blades.
The flagstop measures just 4" long and is painted to match my Bona Vista Railroad's station colors. Its "big sister," the Westcott Depot, was also selected as a "Scratchbuild Showcase" feature.
